While we were still in negotiations for the house Todd comes home one day and announces that he has gotten a dishwasher for free. His company is moving to the top 2 floors of their building and have completely gutted the floors and are renovating the whole thing. He and a few co-workers went up there to check out the progress and the foreman asked if any of them needed a dishwasher. It turns out it is a Jenn Air dishwasher in black (the color we are using in the kitchen for our other appliances) and has hardly been used. It was in perfect shape. Talk about luck huh? I am not that lucky....


This is our new stove. The sellers had an electric stove that was the dirtiest stove I have EVER seen. It was hideous, there was no way I was going to cook even one meal in or on that thing. We started shopping around and settled on this one. Black like we wanted (stainless was just too pricey and sterile looking in my opinion) and best of all it was gas. I was excited to find out there was a gas stub there that we could use. Cooking on gas has been so much better than electric. Its finicky but you get used to the differences quickly and its worth it.


Last but not least, the washer & dryer. My husband teased me incessantly about the dryer but he actually uses it more than I do now. No more teasing.
