Im finally getting around to planting the flower bed Todd & I built. Amazingly we didnt have rain for 2 whole days in a row so I was able to get some work done. On the other hand we had 95+ degree weather and 75%+ humidity the whole weekend so Im not sure the trade off was that great. We got up early both mornings trying to beat the heat. Jackson & I shopped on Saturday for the flowers, this must be a bad time of year for annuals because there wasnt much out there that looked nice. Maybe Im just picky. I ended up getting:
Coleus - deep red
Celosia - fuschia, red & pink
Snapdragons - fuschia & pink
Impatiens - light pink & purple
We got home around 8pm. I waited until 8:30 to unload the truck. I opened and spread 5 bags of top soil, levelled it and called it quits for the evening.
Saturday morning I got the Coleus planted in the back and the Celosia in the next row. I planted the row of Snapdragons tonite until 9:15pm. It was so dark I could barely see the plants. I wanted to get the Impatiens planted tonite too but there was no way. The hard Georgia clay under the top soil is a real pain. I guess Ill be busy planting again tomorrow night too.
Can you come plant some flowers in my yard - Just Kidding! Anyways I can't wait to come over & visit - ya'll are really putting in alot of hard work! It looks great alreay!
