For the past week or two bug has really stepped up the activity level and most especially, the intensity level. It seems that every couple days I am feeling the little punches, kicks and rolling a bit more. Not only am I able to feel all these things, I'm also able to see them! Just this morning Todd and I were watching my stomach and whenever the baby would move, there would be a quick movement making the skin poke up. The baby is most active whenever I am laying down, apparently it likes all the extra space. I'm really surprised to be feeling so much so early this time, with Jackson I don't remember feeling these things until I was well into my 5th or 6th month. I cant imagine what it will feel like in several more months!
Tomorrow is my 2nd Level II ultrasound appointment. I'm looking forward to seeing the baby again and am very hopeful my DR will be able to confirm its health and the sex too! Since my first ultrasound was so early, I'm a bit afraid my little girl just might be a little boy who was hiding his parts!
I'm still dealing with the nausea and occasional sickness but thankfully, its nowhere near as bad as it once was. Its frustrating when I do feel sick because it typically sets me back for a couple days but I love the days I'm feeling well. Unfortunately the long sickness has left me fairly weak and my strength is nothing like it used to be. I get tired easily and have to take frequent breaks. I'm still hopeful I will get the rumored second trimester burst of energy because there is so much for me to do. The good news is that I am eating more normally now. Strangely, the baby loves chicken quesadillas (not spicy though!) with plenty of sour cream on the side as well as pineapple cream cheese on my bagels and orange juice. A friend of mine had a baby boy yesterday morning and it has given me a much needed boost of happiness and hope that there is definitely a light at the end of this tunnel.
